Bio

Ted Carter earned his BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Richmond in 2002. He was then commissioned as a Quartermaster officer in the US Army where he served for four years. His time in service included a deployment to the Middle East when he served as the Forward Commander for the 54th Quartermaster Company where he oversaw all mortuary affairs efforts in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He was honorably discharged at the rank of captain after earning two Meritorious Service Medals. Ted received his MFA in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University. He was then went to work for the Center for Human Simulation and Patient Safety at VCU's School of Medicine where he was the Operations Manager and the Operational Director of the VCU Standardized Patient Program. He lives in Louisville with his wife, Rachel.
