Communication Fund for Excellence

The Department of Communication awards a scholarship to outstanding junior (60-89 hours) and senior (90+ hours) students who demonstrate academic and professional excellence.  The award winners are honored at the Student Awards and Recognition Ceremony each spring. Applications are due in early spring.

Outstanding Junior: For declared COM majors who have earned 60 to 89 hours. Awarded based on overall academic and professional/leadership excellence. A résumé is required for the application process. Apply at comm.uky.edu/students/awards/junior

Outstanding Senior: For declared COM majors who have earned 90 or more hours. Awarded based on overall academic and professional/leadership excellence. A résumé is required for the application process. Apply at comm.uky.edu/students/awards/senior

Harrington Award

For declared COM majors in healthcare communication (or COM majors pursuing the Undergraduate Health Communication Certificate) who have earned 60 to 89 hours.
