Leanna Hartsough is a PhD student in communication and a communication strategies for professional excellence instructor at the University of Kentucky. Her research consists of developing and assessing mindful communication training programs and positive change consulting for organizations. She has presented her research at academic conferences and as workshops for professionals. Leanna is originally from Youngstown, Ohio, where she obtained her master’s degree in professional communication. She also received her undergraduate degree in international business and physical education at Youngstown State University. She used her bachelor’s degrees to open a side business called Festival Fitness. It is an education, fitness, and entertainment LLC where she does training and consulting, as well as yoga, mindfulness, international dance, and group exercise instruction. Her business is conducted online, at various events, and in organizations. She launched her business in 2016 and has been aligning Festival Fitness with her research and vice versa.
