The Boyd Professorship is awarded to a Department of Communication faculty member that holds the rank of associate or full professor, has research interests clearly linked to Communication, has tenure and has made outstanding contributions to social scientific research and graduate education in the field of Communication.

The Disparities Researchers Equalizing Access for Minorities (DREAM) Scholars Program supports the training of exceptional under-represented minority Pre-docs, Post-docs and Assistant Professors who are committed to health equity research and is supported by the College of Nursing, Center for Clinical and Translational Science, and Center for Health Equity Transformation (CHET).
