Lambda Pi Eta’s second year is underway.

Lambda Pi Eta, at the University of Kentucky, is in it’s second official year. Lambda Pi Eta is a national communication studies honor society with approximately 440 chapters in the nation, including our own Alpha Chi chapter at the Department of Communication and the College of Communication and Information (CI).

Alpha Chi is working on a variety of projects to foster academic achievement, networking and leadership of its members:

As part of the society’s goal to promote undergraduate students’ involvement in research, members are teaming up with Communication professors as research assistants.

Members and student-led committees are working on service and marketing events taking place throughout the 2015-2016 academic year. The goal is to begin a fundraising campaign that allows Lambda Pi Eta to implement plans to expand it’s reach and service to the Department of Communication and the CI community.

To conclude this semester, the society will be co-leading a community service project to serve those in need in the community and celebrating student accomplishments with a winter dinner.
