Happy Holidays! We have reached the end of what has been a very busy semester! From networking with our recent alumni at ProAm Day to honoring new CSA officers and award-winning students, this semester has been jam-packed with events that have allowed us to celebrate our current and former students.
Today we will celebrate some more when 75 communication majors cross the stage at Rupp Arena. Communication majors make-up just over half of the 149 December graduates from the College of Communication and Information this year! Check out the heartwarming story on one of our graduating seniors, Kevin Massey, and his journey with coaches and advisors who have worked with him along the way.
We will also recognize a graduating senior who will not be at the commencement ceremony today. One of our communication majors, Mason Reppen, tragically passed away on December 1. However, because he had already completed the majority of his assignments, his parents will be able to accept his degree on his behalf. They have created a fund to raise awareness of prescription drug abuse in Mason’s name.
I hope the new year brings new opportunities for our alumni and students. Please keep us updated on any career moves by filling out this alumni profile. And, if you will be hiring an intern in the next year, please let us know. We will have our internship and career fair on February 21, and we would love for you to recruit our talented students.
Have a joyous holiday season!
