As we welcome another great academic year, we look forward to some fresh beginnings. We are excited about the opportunity to reposition the College name with our supporting national associations. Our recent name change to the College of Communication and Information refocuses on our mission and better reflects our tradition of collective excellence in all relevant disciplines. It is an understatement to suggest that UK’s Department of Communication is one of the most treasured of its kind. While maintaining the rich tradition of its highly ranked graduate program in health communication, communication faculty are pursuing exciting programs in emerging areas of risk sciences, technology, and entrepreneurship.
As always, I would like to thank you—as alumni of our college. The progress and success of our students could not be possible without your continued support. The Department of Communication remains a leader in undergraduate research and creative pursuits inside and outside of the classroom. I am amazed by the achievements of our Communication students, and proud of their success beyond UK graduation. I am thrilled to begin my 4th year as Dean, and look forward to being a part of the thriving future. Contact me anytime to discuss your ideas for our College.
